After I was admitted to senior high school, I found that many students were not on good terms with the dorm keepers because they disciplined those who failed to obey the stringent rules in dorms. As the assessments given by the dorm keepers were important to the overall evaluation of our classes,our teachers kept reminding us of the importance of following the rules. But the violations of the rules, such as playing cell phones after the lights were turned off, were often caught by the dorm keepers, which led to our teachers criticisms and worsened the relationship between the dorm keepers and us. Knowing what the dorm keepers did were well-intentioned,I started pondering upon ways to better the relationship.
As the drama festival was approaching, I, as the screenwriter, decided to present what happened in our dorms on the stage to call for the students’ understanding to the dorm keepers. My decision was not favored by other crew members for they thought it was a trite story. I, however, racked my brain to make the banal story refreshing. It happened that I was reading some science fictions then, so I thought it might be a good idea to spice up our drama with some sci-fi elements. Thus, I proposed that we introduce some robot dorm keepers. As other members showed interest, I proceeded to say that the story was set in the future when the dumb robot dorm keepers would assume the duties of checking the sanitary conditions and the implementation of rules. Finally, in our drama, we adapted many real-life stories and combined them with imaginations. For instance, the robot dorm keepers crept under the beds to search for dirt, detected the electronic signals to locate those who played cell phones secretly and even disciplined a student who got up to go to the toilet because of diarrhea. The funny scenes greatly amused the audience. More importantly, many students realized that the dorm keepers were nice enough and it was important to be able to empathize.
案例分析:创造力有时候并不需要体现在很大的事情上。在思考、应对、解决一些小问题中,也许换个角度、尝试某些新的手段就能创造性的化解问题。本文所描述的故事虽然并不复杂,但是体现了学生能够发现问题并能够想办法解决问题。在解决问题的过程中,学生“不走寻常路”充分发挥了其聪明才智和创新想法,促进了问题的改善。
